Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"This was some of the best fried chicken that I've had in all of North Carolina in the last three years that I've been down here. The portions were perfectly cooked and seasoned. Juicy and steaming. Fresh out of the fryer as I watch the girls in the back preparing more from scratch to put in next load for the fryer. I can't wait to try the fish. The corn was cooked perfectly and the biscuits are absolutely out of this world. I had to compliment the manager before I left!"
"The staff was really nice. People, people, that took an interest in providing wonderful delicious food. The restaurant was super clean, you would want to eat right there. We took our order to go because we stumbled across Church's because we were lost. The lady on staff told us the direction of the train station. We were so happy that we had gotten lost and found Church's chicken, particularly this one. We started having 80's moments. Church's chicken tastes amazing."
"Churchs has really turned around...I just left there...It's cleaner...New Staff is Wonderful...And All my food is hot and Fresh....Great Job"
"Was glad to see a Church's since I have to travel an hour to get to one. Chicken was great, biscuit didn't taste as good as other Church's chicken restaurants I've been to. I noticed this restaurant is looking a little raggedy like the one in Knoxville. Could do with a facelift."
"So the parking lot is so tiny, however chicken is fresh. Something I was a little shocked by was the environmental friendly straws, I mean weird for a chicken place but yup paper straws Impressive. Staff is hit or miss. The staff seems a little intimidated by another staff memeber, but a face place to grab a bite"
"We live shortly. Why not embrace the world through a bite of chicken? The pain exclusive of that chicken's life, it's slaughter. The beautiful horror seemingly displaced by the immaculate pleasure of flesh to oil to teeth to gullet. I live not as a chicken. I cannot die as a chicken. We do not produce for them coffins."
"They good just wish u had more location. I live out side down town Raleigh still takes a minute to get me there vibe was good and very polite"
"I promise I saw the ac grill drip. Lol but they have the best chicken. I dont know what their rating is but.... i prayed it didnt make me sick and it didnt. This place is on New Bern Ave and its not the best part of time but it is going thru gentrification. I wouldn't say it wasnt safe but I dont know if I would come here at night. But the people that are cooking wear gloves and mask. They seem to be doing the best with what they have. The parking also isnt good but if you want something good they have $3.99 and $5.99 meals with two pieces of chicken, two sides, hot pepper and a biscuit. The people working there were really nice. Also they have fried okra. So gooood. The food will never disappoint. Sorry the food was so good I forgot to take a picture. Guess I have to go back. And there are only two tables with two chairs each."
